Job Description Overview

Will be responsible for selling OTI products and services to new accounts and for new account management. Responsibilities include cold calling and prospecting, preparing presentations and proposals, closing, and working with internal teams to ensure total client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years successful sales experience in professional services environments, IT industry preferred. A proven track record of cultivating new client relationships through aggressive outside sales efforts a must.

General Responsibilities

  1. Increase sales through development of strategic customer relationships in the Portland/Vancouver marketplace

  2. Identify new market segment opportunities where OTI's products and services can make a positive and significant impact

  3. Prospecting, setting and conducting face to face appointments

  4. Develop sales proposals and lead presentations

  5. Sale of IP Telephony and Convergence products, IT Consulting and Managed Services.

  6. Work closely with prospective clients to understand their business and objectives, and match those goals with OTI solutions and services

  7. Establish prospective appointments and lead generation fulfillment. Lead proposal presentations to client principals and management and oversee contract negotiations and engagement process

  8. Remain current on technical information regarding OTI’s telephony product offerings, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). networking, consultation, negotiation, and sales skills
Desired Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in direct outside sales with an IT and telephony focus

  • Solid skills and background in business knowledge related to sales

  • Proven track record of acquiring corporate customers

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Aptitude for learning technical service and product related information

  • Work with strategic partners to better position with clients and prospects.

  • Produce accurate forecasts and reporting of all sales activities.

  • Demonstrated influencing and selling skills are essential

  • Winning track record of success and a burning desire to sell and close business

  • Ability to work independently, generate and keep to a schedule of activities, organize around a set of priorities, meet deadlines and manage external resources when necessary.
  • Other Desired Skills
  • BS in Business, Marketing, Technical or other appropriate degree. Education should encompass a broad set of business areas such as market analysis, pricing models, and customer satisfaction assessment.

  • Experience in one or more focal markets including Legal, Engineering, Architectural, Accounting, Manufacturing, Retail, Banking, Real Estate, Government and Non-Profit.

  • Industry certifications including TIA Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP), TIA A+, Network+, Avaya Certified Associate (ACA)
